International Students

At Mount House we offer skilled teaching in a very special environment. Class sizes are small and our experienced teachers provide plenty of support to help pupils achieve high standards.

We equip pupils with academic and life skills that give them the best possible chance of success, whether at universities such as Oxford, Cambridge or LSE, specialist colleges like London School of Fashion or in any career path they choose.

We understand how important it is that your child feels happy and secure and will do everything we can to help pupils transfer to London and settle in well. We appreciate it may be a pupil’s first visit to the UK, possibly their first time away from home, and want their experience to be happy and successful.

Below is information on courses, fees and accommodation. If you have any questions, please contact Annie Swynnerton, our dedicated International Admissions Officer on +44 (0)208 449 6889 or via our contact form.

COURSES

Mount House appreciates the diversity that pupils from overseas bring to the whole school. Our international pupils join in with every aspect of school life, follow a full curriculum and enjoy all our social events. We offer a UK curriculum, working towards GCSE & A-Level examinations.

Small class sizes allow pupils plenty of access to teachers and the chance to develop strong relationships with them. Each student also has a personal tutor who closely follows their progress.

BEYOND THE BOOKS

It’s not all about work! Our pupils also enjoy cultural trips, take part in sporting activities and will learn new skills in our varied extra-curricular programme. Outside school hours, our successful Homestay programme gives pupils the chance to experience home life with British families.

Your child will live locally with an approved host family. This provides your child with a special experience giving them a wonderful opportunity to expand their cultural awareness. Good communication skills are crucial in any career and a Homestay arrangement helps pupils become confident English speakers, whoever they’re talking to.

SAFE AND SECURE

All Homestay arrangements will be made by a specialist guardianship agent. The agent will carefully choose and assess every host family, and carry out an enhanced DBS (Disclosure Baring Service) check. Each host mother and father takes their responsibility as seriously as the pupil’s own parents do, working alongside the school to ensure their stay is happy and successful.
