We want to make the admissions process as simple as possible. Please follow the steps below to begin your journey to Mount House.
We encourage prospective parents and pupils to see our school in action during one of our Open Mornings which run throughout the year.
Private tours with the Principal are also available by appointment. Please contact our Registrar.
To apply for a place at Mount House School please complete our online registration form together with payment of a non-refundable registration fee of £75. Our Registrar will then contact you to confirm safe receipt of your child’s registration.
You will receive an invitation for your son/daughter to come to Mount House for a taster session.
Prospective Year 7 pupils will be invited to sit our Entrance Assessment in the January before they are due to start at Mount House. We are a non-selective school but we do assess potential pupils to determine their current academic level and how we can help them to fulfil their potential. We compare the Entrance Assessment results of prospective students against current Mount House pupils’ predicted GSCE and A-level grades to ensure that we are assisting the pupils to achieve their potential.
Following the Entrance Assessment, places are offered as soon as possible. Should the Assessment provide further reason for reflection the Registrar will contact you to discuss this.
