A varied and exciting list of trips will be available for students to attend which complement their studies.
In post Covid world Mount House is excited to be able to plan for future trips and visits. Budding artists and photographers take full advantage of the rich array of galleries and exhibitions available in London.
Students of literature visit Jane Austen’s house in Hampshire, historians travel to sites such as Chartwell or the Palace of Versailles. Language students can visit France and Spain in planned excursions to immerse themselves in the language and culture of their chosen subject.
In October 2021, there will be the opportunity for a cultural trip to a European city, and this will be developed with input from the Student Council.
When current Health & Safety guidance allows we will return to our active programme of trips for students which in previous years have been offered throughout the academic year to all year groups. In recent years these have included:
- Academic Focused Trips – British Museum, Cambridge University, Houses of Parliament
- Arts Focused Trips – European Choir Tour, National Theatre, Tate Britain
- Sport focused trips – Lambourne End Outdoor Education Centre, Oxygen Trampoline Park. For Years 8 to 13 there is also the opportunity for the annual Mount House Ski Trip most recently to Austria.
We also offer a range of residential trips which include PGL in Dorset and for Year 8 the French Language trip to Paris. There have also been opportunities for international trips to exciting destinations such as Rome.
