A closer look at year 9 art. 👀
🎨 Year 9 art students have been creating conceptual art inspired by the work of artist Anicka Yi, making beautiful soap sculptures using leeks, garlic and onions.
🖌️Their work offers a conceptual critique of the politics of odour and sanitation in Western society, where the fear of odours can often exclude and discriminate. Well done to all!

Today we celebrated our Year 13 students as they marked their final day at school (before exams). From thoughtful presentations reflecting on their journey, to a joyful party filled with laughter and memories, it was an afternoon to remember.
We are immensely proud of all they’ve accomplished and the young adults they've become. Wishing them every success for their exam results and for the exciting path ahead!

Congratulations to our conscientious and highly ambitious Year 8 students: Ena, Vivi and Aliah who won the Shakespeare Quote Hunting Competition.
#Shakespeare quotes were hidden around the school. Ena, Vivi and Aliah were the first to track them all down, carefully note each quote and submit their completed list to claim their well-deserved prizes. Their impressive achievement has been formally recognised with a certificate.

🧠 Should we place limits on how much technology can be used to ‘improve’ humans?
🤖 Should robots like ‘robocops’ be allowed to replace human police officers?
Both of them showed fantastic thinking, thoughtful arguments, and real effort in tackling these complex issues. They've each earned 10 house points - Keep up the excellent work 👏
