Friends of Mount House

Friends of Mount House (FOMH) is an informal parent staff association, formed by parents, carers and staff of Mount House School.

The primary aim of FOMH is to organise a range of social and fun activities each year, such as our Christmas Fair, Summer Festival, an ever popular international evening and Easter egg hunt.

Our Christmas Fair is our main fundraising event of the year, which has allowed us to stage a Summer Festival for the last two years. The highlights of last year’s festival were:

  • Afternoon tea and BBQ
  • Open mic with students performing from all years
  • Virtual Reality Pod
  • Photo booth
  • DJ
  • Ice cream van

We view all parents, carers and staff as being part of the FOMH family, and we understand that not everyone can be actively involved in the organisation of events. We have an informal organising committee which is led by the present co-chairs, Carmen Morris-Coulson and Paula Bryans who are both Year 10 parents.

Upcoming Events:

March 2019
International evening

April 2019
Easter Egg Hunt

June 2019
Summer Festival

Four ways to get involved:

  1. Become a class rep, we aim to attract one or two reps per year group. Some reps organise their own social events within their class or year group.
  2. Join FOMH’s committee or event subcommittee. The main committee meets once a term and the subcommittees are formed to run an event. Everyone is welcome to come and join in.
  3. Consider sponsoring an event.
  4. Please volunteer to help on the day of an event, this can be done very informally and on an ad hoc basis.
