5 February is Safer Internet Day when thousands of organisations and schools across the UK get involved to help inspire a national conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.
At Mount House we regularly educate and arm our students with knowledge about using the internet safely, from employing guest speakers and teachers to lead workshops to making resources available on site and on our website. We believe that open discussion and support is the best way to ensure our young people are prepared to handle the pressures and pitfalls the internet can sometimes produce.
Used correctly and positively, social media can be a great tool, and we encourage all parents to download the guides below and discuss the safety aspects with your children to help both parties be aware that help and advice is on hand. Let’s work together for a better internet.
