Mrs Sarah Richardson


Career:

Sarah has a wide range of significant experience at leading independent schools. After graduating in history from the University of Kent and completing a PGCE at Christchurch College, Canterbury, Sarah taught history and politics as well as coaching hockey teams.  Sarah taught at The Perse School in Cambridge for nine years prior to joining Mount House.  The Perse, where she was Deputy Head, was the top placed co-educational school in The Times GCSE league table.

Sarah teaches history at GCSE and A level, and is an experienced examiner.

Sarah was Chair of Governors at Bottisham Village College, an 11-16 comprehensive, and sat on the strategy board of the Anglian Gateway Teaching Schools’ Alliance, a collaborative network of schools in Cambridgeshire and Suffolk, working in partnership with a range of other highly regarded organisations. Her husband is a primary school teacher and they have two teenage daughters.

Personal Interests

Sarah is keen sportswoman, and occasionally finds time to run around on a hockey pitch.
