We are incredibly proud to announce that, as a school that welcomes students of all abilities, we achieved 80% grades 4-9 at GCSE, an outstanding result compared with the national average of 67.4%.
Students who performed particularly well were Nicholas with 7 Grade 9s and 3 Grade 8s, Ava with 3 Grade 9s, 4 Grade 8s and a Grade 7 and Sofie, with 3 Grade 9s, 5 Grade 8s and 2 Grade 7s.
Looking at specific subject areas, creative subjects excelled. In Art, half of all grades were a 7 or higher and in Music, the average grade was a 6. Outstanding grades in each of the Sciences meant that the average grade by a student in separate Biology, Chemistry and Physics was a 7. The languages continue to excel with Spanish and French returning a 100% 9-6 attainment record, indeed all grades were 7 or higher in French. The average grade for English Literature was a 6, set against a national attainment picture where the average grade attained is a 4.
These exceptional results reflect the hard work and dedication of our students and staff, and we look forward to welcoming many of our Year 12 students back in September to begin their Sixth Form journey.
