British Science Week at Mount House School

Science Week is a wonderful opportunity to explore parts of science which go beyond the normal school curriculum. Students are given the chance to build, to create, to research and explore the many career opportunities that they could pursue as a scientist.

Activities included:

Poster Competition

Paper Gliders

Morse Code

The Environmental Impact of Food

Smashing Stereotypes

For more details, please see this week’s newsletter.

Mrs. Di Dio ended the week with a wonderful assembly celebrating all we accomplished during British Science Week. She also officially announced that Mount House School would be taking part in the Step Into the NHS competition. Students have been challenged to create an advertisement for a role in the NHS. The best ones will be used in an actual campaign to get more people to take up a career in the NHS. All advertisements need to be submitted electronically to a science teacher by Friday 21st  April. See Show My Homework for more details.

Mrs. Kazim also announced the students who won an award in this year’s British Physics Olympiad.

Special congratulations to the students with the top results:
